imbersolitas4:40pm: Carol of teh Old Ones
Its really very good. I wish I had written it. :(

Look to the sky, way up on high
There in the night stars are now right.
Eons have passed: now then at last
Prison walls break, Old Ones awake!
They will return: mankind will learn
New kinds of fear when they are here.
They will reclaim all in their name;
Hopes turn to black when they come back.
Ignorant fools, mankind now rules
Where they ruled then: it's theirs again

Stars brightly burning, boiling and churning
Bode a returning season of doom

Scary scary scary scary solstice
Very very very scary solstice

Up from the sea, from underground

Lsten at:
Down from the sky, they're all around
They will return: mankind will learn
New kinds of fear when they are here

Look to the sky, way up on high
There in the night stars are now right.
Eons have passed: now then at last
Prison walls break, Old Ones awake!
Madness will reign, terror and pain
Woes without end where they extend.
Ignorant fools, mankind now rules
Where they ruled then: it's theirs again

Stars brightly burning, boiling and churning
Bode a returning season of doom

Scary scary scary scary solstice

I have set it up to collect the followers of all aspects of the Cthulhu Mythos, be it the literature, the CCG, whatever. All is welcome. (The address comes from a limit to teh number of letters). The theme of the site is a Notebook to represent the common investigative element to both many of the writings and the RPG.

katalyah5:27pm: Research
Ok,

I have been ejoying call of cthulhu and the works of HP lovecraft for a few years now. As well as being a keen gamer, i am also a writer and thought it would be fun to combine the two. I have been toying with the idea of writing a highly lovecraft styled story for a few weeks now. Obviously i 'd don't want to copy, or plagerise in any way and want originality, so no mythos monster, no know characters and no pre done idea.

What i was wondering, is atributes do you think lovecrafts style holds. What makes his work feel the way it does? what do you most like about it? I am not asking for story ideas, just your feelings on the style itself:)

The reason i ask is having read many lovecraft styled works of other writer i got fed up with the name dropping and blaten unoriginality of the works, which to me is what makes lovecraft great.

So what would you look for in a lovecraft styled, but original story?
Thanks in advance :) (now back to writing the moule i'm working one :) )

telegramsam7010:03pm: H. P. L. stuff question
Hi Folks,

I have a question for this community and it's moderators. I have a large collection of good, old, and rather hard to find Lovecraft related items. I am putting these on ebay, and was considering noting these auctions on this page.

It is not my intent to spam or be a pest, but rather to make sure that those who would most enjoy this stuff get first chance at it.

Would this offend anyone? I would hope not, but i desire your feedback on this matter.

Thanks for your time and consideration.

Sam
katalyah7:45pm: Hi there,
Hi,

I'm new around these parts.

I've been playing cthulhu for about two years now, all in the 1890's. I've been lucky enougth to have only one charater so far, who san has gone up from the starting point at the end of every adventure.

Just about to move into playing some dreamlands stuff.

Look forward to talking all things cthulhu with you all :)

P.s am also a fan of H. P. Lovecrafts short stories :)

recursived4:01pm: Masks of Nyarlathotep Campaign Run Through
For those who are interested, I'm posting writeups of my group's Call of Cthulhu adventures (and other tidbits of Cthulhu/1920s interest) to wedsoc. I'm afraid I've restricted posting access to myself and the players, but people are free to "watch" (ooherr, missus).

They're just about to begin the classic Masks of Nyarlathotep, and, aside from warning them that it will be a big, globetrotting campaign, they don't know that's the campaign they'll be playing. The name of the campaign does immediately give away the Big Bad One so I'm glad they're in the dark, and AFAIK none of them have played Masks before. Should be fun! I'm also posting Keeper-side comments/modifications to my journal at Yog-Sothoth.com.

_coyotemoon12:01pm: Any Canucks in here?
Hello everyone,

Canadian here. I live near Hamilton, Ontario. Just wondering if there's anybody here who's closeby and interested in a campaign.

I became a Lovecraft fan years ago, and eventually another Lovecraft fanatic convinced me to buy the Call of Cthulhu corebook. He said he'd introduce me to a bunch of people who played it, but that never happened :/ Ah well.
